Meet the Bishop and Pastor  


Bishop Willie J. Curry... founded Shekinah Tabernacle Ministries (STM) July 9th, 2003. He is a man after God’s own heart, a true Soldier and Kingdom Ambassador of the Lord, a Husband, Father, Visionary, entrepreneur, retired military defender of freedom and the list could continue. Bishop Curry has ministered and preached the gospel for over 17 years while serving the Kingdom in various assignments such as a youth pastor, assistant pastor, juvenile chaplain, counselor, teacher, and evangelist. His dynamic ministry stands as a global nucleus serving the Kingdom of God and surrounding St. Robert, Waynesville and Fort Leonard Wood Military communities.

Under his leadership STM received the Friends to City Award for its numerous accounts of giving back to the community. He has organized Thanksgiving dinners for community families, established a weekly after school tutoring and feeding program, sponsored Christmas provisions, and provided finances and labor toward three Feed the Children Campaign drives, just to name a few. Bishop Curry has authored and published “Empowerment Magazine”, a quarterly magazine that increases stability, growth, and relationship with the Father.

Bishop Curry possesses a sound mission to glorify God through the empowerment of preaching and teaching the Gospel of the Lord. Bishop Curry earned a bachelor’s of science degree in Business Management/Human Resource from Park University and is currently attending Amridge University, majoring in a Masters of Ministerial Leadership with special emphasis in Organizational Development. In 2007 Bishop Curry organized STM Bible Institution to educate, train and develop anointed servants for the advancement of God’s Kingdom.

Bishop Curry is an active member of several organizations: the American Association of Christian Counselors, Who’s Who in Urban Ministries, Christians Empowering Christians in Outreach, Park University Alumni, St. Robert/Waynesville Ministerial Alliance. Bishop Curry, as an entrepreneur has overseen, pioneered and assisted ministries in developing a sound structural foundation in administrative guidance, clergy tax law procedures, constitution and bylaws, compensation packages, ministerial financial budgeting, incorporation and specializing in 501C3 applications.

One word that best describe the Man of God is HUMBLE. As a man of his stature and position he has always humbled himself before spiritual leaders and his spiritual children. He goes above and beyond to empower others sometimes sacrificing himself.

Pastor Margaret A. Curry... is a remarkable and powerful woman of God. When you think of a God fearing woman, you think of her. When you think of all the Fruit of the Spirit; Love, Patience, Joy, Peace, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control you think of her. Pastor Curry is a woman on a mission to impact, transform and unite this present world with the Kingdom of God. She exhibits a passion to bring individuals into a personal relationship with God by equipping them for maturity in Christ, that they might live abundantly and victoriously.

Pastor Curry began ministering in 1995 in Oakland Park, Florida under the pastorate of Pastor Robert Shaw, Mt. Zion AME Church. After years of studying, ministering and operating in her diversity of gifts, she assisted in founding Shekinah Tabernacle Ministries. She was ordained July 10th 2004 to Minister and appointed as the Co-Pastor of Shekinah Tabernacle Ministries. She is a wife, mother, sister, and Health Care Professional who operates with integrity. She exemplifies faith, trust, love, humility, and morals to build up the Kingdom of God. She has sustained the Ministry in the absence of her husband, Bishop Willie J. Curry, beginning October 2005 until his return in November 2006. In March of 2006, she was honored for her work in the Ministry as one of the “Women Who Have Made a Difference in the Community.”

In 2003, Pastor Curry completed a degree in Radiologic Technology from Rolla Technical College. She graduated top of her class and made history being the first African America to graduate from the Radiologic Technology program from that college. She earned her Registry in Radiology and began working at the General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital (GLWACH). Pastor Curry recently earned her Registry in Mammography and graduated with her Associate of Science Degree in Radiology from Drury University. Currently, she is pursuing her baccalaureate degree in the Health Services Leadership program from Drury University. Some of her greatest accomplishments in life are the following: 

 In August 2001, she earned a scholarship in Radiology from Phelps County Regional Hospital Alumni Committee while attending Rolla Technical College. 

 In May 2002, Pastor Curry earned the “Royce Osborne Academic National Scholarship” from the American Society of Radiologic Technologist (ASRT) for her outstanding academic accomplishments. 

 In August 2003, she and her husband pioneered Shekinah Tabernacle Ministries, its mission and focus is to be a refreshing source of empowerment, encouragement, love, acceptance, and realness that extends to all ages, social classes, backgrounds and ethnicities through the principles of Jesus Christ. 

 In August 2005, she was assigned as Pastor and her husband was consecrated to the office of Bishop. They have served the Christian faith for over 15 years, holding various positions in different churches. 

 In March 2008, Pastor Curry and Bishop Curry pioneered a small business, Anointed Fragrances.

Pastor Margaret A. Curry is known for giving her time, her smile, her wisdom, spiritual guidance, and support to her congregation and surrounding communities. She has demonstrated these characteristics through community services such as providing free Thanksgiving dinners, after school tutoring programs, and Christmas provisions. She is consistent in her demeanor and is a Warrior for Jesus Christ.
